Tax Preparation

There’s plenty of good tax software on the market for those who want to prepare their own tax returns.  We believe we add great value for the cost of preparing an individual or small business tax return.

  • We have the resources to address complex tax issues.
  • We e-file our returns, ensuring the quickest turnaround on refunds.
  • When necessary, we are used to dealing with the IRS.
  • We are your tax resource so you don’t have to search for answers to your tax questions.
  • We are your trusted advisor who will help you recognize and maximize the deductions and tax credits available to you.
  • We advise you on how to get even more deductions and credits on future returns.

We LIKE to study tax law and prepare taxes – giving you more time to do the things you like to do.

Tax Planning

Tax law is constantly changing.  We keep up with the changes and can help you identify the deductions and credits available to minimize your individual and business tax liabilities.  This starts with a review of your current year and a discussion of future tax challenges and tax saving strategies available to you.

IRS Controversies

No one wants issues with the IRS.

  • It is always best to avoid any problems up front.  We take an aggressive, but careful approach to tax preparation.  We are not interested in having our clients on the IRS firing line.
  • Dealing with the IRS can be a time consuming, frustrating process.  We try to take as much of this burden from you as possible.  Don’t stuff the IRS letter in a drawer and wait for penalties and interest to pile up.
  • We help you understand issues raised by the IRS and how we might best address them.  Many times the IRS only needs additional or updated information.  You may have overlooked a stock sale, missed a 1099 or made a simple math error.  Resolution may be as easy as a letter or a phone call.
  • The IRS is certainly not perfect.  An audit by the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) found errors in 51% of the IRS correspondence audits that were reviewed.

We can help you understand and address your tax issues with the IRS.
